Matt Russo was born and raised in Beaumont, TX and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with an undergraduate degree in geological sciences. Matt then spent the next decade working as an environmental scientist and disaster recovery specialist. During his pre-law school career, Matt was a consultant for the State of New Jersey and the City of New York during reconstruction efforts post-Super Storm Sandy, a consultant for the City of Houston during reconstruction post-Hurricane Harvey, and an environmental and historic preservation specialist for FEMA.

Matt attended law school with a scholarship from the University of Tulsa where he received multiple awards for excellence in contract law and contract drafting. During his law school career, Matt expanded his knowledge of government administration and environmental compliance while gaining practical knowledge as a law clerk for the Tulsa County Public Defender's Office and the Rode Law Firm, personal injury attorneys. Matt earned his JD from the University of Tulsa College of Law with Highest Honors.

Matt's passion for helping people recover from storms, fires, and other natural disasters continues into his legal practice where he files first-party insurance claims for injured property owners across the state.
